Identify this please

It is in a packet from Andersen, so i guess it must be something to do with winches.

Any idea what it does?

Possibly you engage the two pins in holes in something, and use it as a wrench.

It looks like it could be used as circlip pliers, maybe a previous owner used it for stripping the winches?

Got it in one I suspect. Its used for undoing the retaining ring on the top of the winch to start the process of stripping the winch down for servicing it. I always end up with two small screwdrivers and another larger one fiddling about to get the top ring to undo.

The pins are 4mm diameter. The maximum distance between pin centres is 388mm.

Clearly this is a lot bigger than the Maplin one in the link above, so I have no idea what it's worth.

Definitely came from Andersen. Are they on the QE?
