identify boat

Can any one identify a boat some friends have just purchased.
It looks abit like a skipper to me but it has an unstayed mast, the sail has a logo that is a letter a with the righthand leg that the bottom has been turned up like a letter J reversed? I have photographs I can email but cant work out how to attach them to this posting.

Percy Blandfords Tarpon design had a sail ensignia like that.
