Idea to change p[art of my channel banking.

My channel has a deep south bank .. up to 2m when about 50cms from bank ... on north side its about 1m out from the reeds ...

I am thinking to step the bank for a part on the south side to allow my Motor Sailer to sit closer ... possibly inserting wood facings to stop bank collapsing in ... plus find way to get my excavator out to dig that shallow area out ... ideally I need construct a floating platform stable to carry 500kgs of excavator ..

Why ? At present I have pontoon space for 2 small boats and one larger ... which will be a bit of an issue when the motor boat returns from awning work and engine repairs.

I have timber for new or repair old pontoons ... so I have options to play with ...

What about using concrete fence posts, the type with a slot to drop concrete panels in. Not to sure what length the posts are available in.

Anything really suited to the job requires Project aplication and approval because watersides are considered Public ...

Technically I should have a bridge across entrance for pub;ic to be able to walk along bank ...

If I was use wood planking - I can do that without creating too much fuss ...
