We have an iCom M505 with the HM 162E command mic.
This command mic connects to the main unit via a long multi core cable.
A crew member who is stronger than he is wise managed to force the female plug onto the male plug and broke some pins. Hence is does not work any more.
The cable is installed into the boat and I do not want to have to have to remove it to replace it.
The easiest thing would be to identify the male plug and get a replacement - half an hour with a soldering iron in the bowels of the boat and it should be OK.
My problem is identifying the part number, description or spec of this plug/socket type and then locate a supplier.
iCom offered me a replacement cable but were unable to help with the socket.
Also the person I dealt with insisted it is a 10 way plug. In fact it is 14 way with 10 ways employed - a significant difference.
Plan B is to replace the male on the cable and the female on the handset - if anyone can suggest a supplier for 10 plugs and sockets suitable for this application.
Thanks
