It's under "Position and Time" in the DSC section of the manual.
When a GPS receiver is connected, the time will automatically be shown.

Yep your radio likely doesn't have a gps position being sent to it. Part of the RMC sentence would be time.
Date and time will pop up automatically when the gps is connected
