Just did our ICC sail exam at Cardiff Bay Yacht Club. Well worth doing if you are taking boat abroad. A practical exam ie sailing onto pontoon, motoring , mob etc then written test with nav lights,col regs,sound signals,tidal calcs etc.

Did ours in Bristol (mobo) and really enjoyed it!
Looking now for the next level, Day Skipper pratical beckons but seems v expensive?

We both have yachtmaster but either that or dayskipper is well worth doing....go and do it! It's fun and you will meet people just doing it.

Ps. If you do icc it is cheaper to get family membership with rya.

Your yachtmaster's ticket entitles you to an ICC without examination, so you must really like doing tests / exercising your skills!
