Wanting to go places, I think it is about time I did an ICC course.
I bought the RYA book and note that ICC's can be given for other courses.
Is any other course more suitable than the standard ICC one for power boats?
I ask because I don't want to do the RYA navigation bit again if I can avoid it. I have the usual day skipper theory but trying to practice the navigation bit while bouncing along at 30 kts proved to be simply farcical. I never managed to draw a line on the chart let alone three, and those divider points... (Always use the GPS/Plotter now)
Why isn't the ubiquitous GPS part of the course anyway?
