Sadly, but not unexpectedly, my dear old mum passed away in the early hours of Monday morning. Dad isn't coping too well and will probably need support for several weeks and it's my duty and privilege to be there for the old codger

This has been coming for some time as Mum had been battling MS and associated health problems for over thirty years and in the last year her condition had rapidly worsened. It's a blessing that the end came quickly allowing my parents to continue living together in their own home and on their own terms until just a few days before the end.

It's likely to be at least two or three weeks before I get back down to Fambridge and after that we'll see. Jane and I have decided that if Dad needs ongoing help I'll move back up here and we'll put our more ambitious plans on hold for the time being. We'll be around though! Pagan is going nowhere unless I'm at the helm :)

(I'm not sure at this early stage how this will affect the business. Right now I'm not worrying about it)

Cheers
Bru

Sorry to hear that Bru - thoughts are with you and yours at this difficult time.
We have never met but I feel like I know you through reading your blog.

Sad news. Hope you and your dad get sorted soon.

So sad - lost my lovely lady last year after 61+ years of happy marriage - Alzheimer's took her But she always prayed,'Lord don't ever let me lose my mind.' - He never did - she lost her memory but she could recognise me and the kids to the end.
You've madde the right decision, you won't regret it

Sad and difficult sitauation, sorry to hear of your loss.

Hope things work out as best they can.

You have deepest condolences Bru. Whatever you do check with your conscience first, guilt can be horrible. Hope your Dad copes with the loss and don't forget your loss too. I don't think we ever get over it but we do learn to live with it.
