If it's any help Doug I've got some jerry cans and if I can find it an electric pump here, but I would have thought that disconnecting the fuel line just before the filter and draining from that would be the fastest way to do it. though I bow to KevB and others knowledge on the subject.
Used to get a similar problem with the Birchy before I found where the water was getting in, and that's with a petrol engine.
If I can help at all just call and I'll fish out the kit, and if you want some spanners (hands) to help out you know where I am
If you've never done it before or worked with diseasel, get some of those surgical gloves and wear them. You'll probably spill some and if you get too much on your hands you're going to know it
