As BSW isn't made any more, is it worth trying a couple of Stainless fabricators and see if they have any left?

Try Anglia Stainless, in Bury St Edmunds. It is also worth noting that you can generally get away with UNC, if you can't get BSW.

If I recall correctly ,UNC will fit all whitworth threads except half inch.Take a nut with you and try them.

Anglia Stainless - Tel No 01359 251414, but I did have a Stainless Steel Screw catalogue turn up last week in the post - can't remember the name but will post it later. If I remember they stocked Whit/UNC as well as metric, A2 & A4 as well as Silicon Bronze, Brass, Aluminium, POP Rivets but not Monel...
