I hate hisw

Javlin did mention that there was a bit of a size issue going on in the river so being as the wind was in the right direction, I thought I would bring out the big guns!
 
I have a weakness, I like flags. Sometimes we fly the Suffolk ensign, sometimes a red, sometimes the ensign of the Vatican Navy. For Christmas SWMBO bought me a huge red ensign from a channel ferry. This summer we bought a nice big blue ensign, we had the biggerest and bestest ensigns on the river. Yesterday I woke to find the next boat on the river flying the hugest, biggest most massive red ensign I've ever seen, it was literally colossal. He's got a big boat but he could have used it as a mizzen staytsail. I felt so small and insignificant, humiliated. Last night I ordered a large white ensign, because in ensign top trumps nothing beats a white ensign except maybe a rainbow ensign and I can't find one for sale anywhere; I even looked in shops when we we were storm bound in Brighton, nothing.

I have some intel that Javelin put him up to it, Javelin knows my weakness for flags.

I think you will find that a defaced red ensign IS the best, the most privileged, most difficult to acquire........
 
I had no idea it would create such issues for you! But a white ensign..... I have kept it quiet in the river as I only fly the RYS burgee and ensign when at the castle or on their rallies, but it looks like I might have to come out and fly them, to keep our status in the river!!

I know and I have the right to fly a very cool one but it looks too much like a Essex flag. No offence :D
