I found this when I made order

I presume the Captain had and needed a clean pair of trousers on standby????
Amazing images.....would definitely NOT have wanted to be there!!!!

Think his trousers would have had the necessary rinse when the boat went under the bridge.

Re: Nice

I hope you read the story as well, there is a link at the bottom. The pilot did not need an ashtray 4 weeks after the incident, he was shaking still so much

Re: My old mate The Chief

Has his fare share of towing stories. My favorite related to towing a rig with a nice big supply boat. Out in the middle of nowhere the engine stops. Our hero saunters down to the engine room and inspires the boys to get the thing fixed. He's greatly distracted by a series of calls from the bridge. Clearly the skipper is getting tense and keeps on demanding immediate action. Wonder of wonders the engine revives and big handfuls of rev's are applied. My old mate thinks he deserves a smoke so wanders out on deck just in time to see the rig miss the stern by about 10ft.

You see the rig just kept going when the supply boat stopped. The skipper had been watching it approach, hence the tension, but he didn't want to tell the engine room blokes it was coming. Just in case they p***ed off.
