I’ve got a bit of news.

I did the deed yesterday and resigned.

SWMBO and I are going for a planned (I emphasise) cruise over the Summer – starting May 1st. I then intend to come back and use my experience/skills of sailing and electronic/mechanical engineering to earn a crust – so that I can wake up in the morning and look forward to the coming day.

This of course means that I’m going to be posting a lot more questions asking for advice and opinions which I hope (and am sure) you’ll help me with.

Sacking could well have had some benefits - such as compensation etc.

Unfortunately there is no spin and hence no compensation! In fact, constant talk of New Labour, Blair and spin is a very small contributing factor as to why I resigned.
