Spent Saturday at Hythe Marina Pillage. Nary a forumite could be found, all boats locked up tight.

Couldn't help noticing, though, that Big Nick has installed a hanging basket on his pontoon's pile. Flowering nicely, which in this dry weather must mean he pops down most nights to water it. Which given his size, he can probably do without using a hosepipe.

Erm was planning to cross on starboard with the wind coming over the port side but by sailing by the lee with the main tucked down with gybe preventer .. now that would have confused matters!!!

Knocked on the coachroof, but there was no-one home (wiped off my knuckle marks afterwards, don't worry)

That plant was watered by a very attactive (female!) lock assistant yesterday. All part of the service ... good, innit.
