43-45ft Sporscruiser.

Must sleep 4 in comfort.
Must be built after 2005 (ideally post 2010)
Must be on shafts
Must have "bullet proof engine" (pref not Green)
Must have airy cockpit, could live with hardtop as long as ventilation is good
Must be suitable for pootling at times and also wave bashing

As I say, purely hypothetical, something to aspire to over the next few years.

Surely the original Fairline Targa 48 is the only answer? :)

Not sure when they were built however.

Even so...

Interesting was speaking to a client of mine the other day who's just bought one. He was looking for a T34 but realised T43's were roughly the same price. And the T43 came with A/C, Gennie, Pas, etc.

However, they stopped building them in the early noughties I think. As you say, even so..... And it would be a great refurb project.

A early mint Itama 46 has guest cabins off the saloon , the rear crew has bunks as opposed to twins like my 42/48 layout .
But it’s 20 cm more beam and has 16 L v8 MAN s .
Guard rails aside .....tbo that’s a none event we or she :) doesn’t notice ......:):):)
So the fuel bill and 2x service parts bill etc etc .Any how they are 97/2001 so it’s gonna an the face feel old but they are often no expense spared cherished.
Look at a 40 , I 6 ....8 L MAN s on V drives so guest is off the saloon circa €200K from 2005 . 3.95 M beam

HT would be Pershing 46 or 43 with I6 2876 MAN s 12.8 L .Later named the R8 when it CR d to 800 Hp bags of torque so 1750 rpm cruise @ 80 L / hr per side .
But the pick of the crop is the one just below the CR the 700 Hp for obvious reasons given a cart blanch .
2976 le 401
D 8/9 knots is 16/18 L each more palatable.
Mine have been bomb proof in the past 5 seasons .Just consumables .

Also peek at Sarnico 45 s i think they have MAN 700, I 6 ,s too .

I must say Pete pleased to here you are hypothetically thinking , just returning to the T47 ....great boat but D9 ,s feel a bit weedy and aren’t without woes . s/Sker Porto 47 is the same btw .I have always said ideally given a choice ( which you have ) regarding summer fouling , cruising stores and overloading harmfulness its best to get the max HP se up and enjoy running them sub 80 % load , ie never needing knowingly or more like unknowingly thrashing them to a inch of there life .

It’s amazing what difference beam makes @ this size .
The difference from a Itama 40 @ 3.95 to mine the 48 hull @4.2 and the 46 @4,35 is huge int vol wise .
Something changes over 4 M beam I can’t explain it .

Some other nuances
Your list is good btw .
Finer points in no particular order .

Cockpit table NOT a convertible so it’s fixed firmly and does not rock or have any folding leaves .

Master cabin bed on a island accessible from both sides .
Master cabin bed enough space in front ( next bulk head ) so when the door is closed both of you have enough space to stand and get dressed .

Electric bogs , no vac flush or units .

Wood floors no cream carpets anywhere.

Electric galley no gas . An easy €1000 fix so no biggie .

Two sinks in the galley .

Twin heads ( most will have 40/46 ft ) but twin showers as well .

Fender storage ......out of sight .

External passerelle centred for tender crane .
A cassette is a potentially a money pit that can be avoided .

Fixed bathing platform again hi lo money pit risk .

To be fair I think the Italians have evolved it all anyhow .

ER access ....to be able to get round them with a normal physique particularly the OB sides .

All lot of boxes to tick but perfectly do able in this 14 M ish range .

Porto, that's a great starting list.

Personally, I'm a carpet fan and could live without a second bathroom. For fenders, I'm not bothered about stowing them as the wife is getting a little weak these days so just jams them against the guardrails.

It would also be good to have an aft cabin with a bit more headroom for when the wife kicks me out of bed for snoring.

100% agree that the aim is a boat that just requires routine maintenance. That would also preclude acres of teak, e.g. on the side decks.

In no particular order, the following are the builders that pop to my mind, which did have one or more models which suit your requirements nicely.
As long as you accept to replace "suitable" with "barely acceptable" in your last point, mind.
A sporscruiser suitable for pootling is an oxymoron - not even worth wasting a wishful thought.

- Sarnico
- Della Pasqua (not to be confused with "my" Dalla Pietà, whose smaller boat was a 48, hence out of your size bracket)
- Uniesse
- Riva
- Cayman
- Queens

Or with a bit more stress on 'sport' rather than 'cruiser'...
- Pershing
- Baia
- Itama
- Magnum
- Otam
- Tornado

Welcome to the club.
When talking of teak in plastic boats, there are only two categories of boaters: those who are fed up with it, and those who will.
Leaving aside those for which money is no object, that is.
