Hull spray in Solent - who to use/good value?

I want to get my topsides sprayed this winter. Who can you recommend in the Solent area? Needs to be good value too

Try the Elephant Boatyard on the Hamble opposite Swanwick Marina. I don't know how their prices are going but the quality and care of work seems to be excellent.

There was a self-employed spray painter based in Emsworth Yacht Harbour a few years ago. I have never made use of him but I heard good reports from others who had.

Maybe the marina manager there can put you in touch with him

Would that be Jerry? I can't recall his surname but his 'other job' was respraying classic cars to a high standard. I've never used him, but have seen his (very impressive) work.

In case it's of use I believe Hayling Yacht Co have a spray facility ( Interspray ? ) but have no info' on quality or value.

Jerry? Yes - I think that was him. I remember that he keeps a classic wooden boat in EYH.

I have seen a boat that he resprayed with Awlgrip paint and it looked a good job.

Mine was handpainted by a guy called Max. Saved having to mask off all the areas that did not need painting. Very nice job he did as well, though a shed is still needed along with possible heating.

come up to Fox`s in Ipswich better job & cheaper ( it would pay for the fuel ).
go for Awlgrip G-Line NOT the 2000 Acrylic its too soft
