Am i the last person to find out jif works wonders .

I was told about Jif in 1990, the charter firm woking out of Mylor used it to remove marks on yachts at change-over.
But as said polish straight after, also Asda smart price cream cleaner works as well, but is cheaper.
Looks like i'm going to have to beach her again to re jif and polish next weekend . Thats cool , i had a great day messing about in the river /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Better than Jiff which is abrasive is an acid. Oxalic acid seems to be prefered but I have never found it here in Oz. However the domestic calcium lime rust cleaner is good. Or the rust converter type acidis good.
My best rick is to go swimming with half a lemon. I get someone on board to sit on one side of the boat to raise the water line and rub the lemon on that brown stain. It takes a few minutes to work. Then get the balast to move and you do the other side. It is bit of a trick to keep the lemon out of the water.
I am glad you had a great day messin' around on the river. olewill
