Fantastic shot.

The whole shortlist is a galaxy of phenomenal images.

Thank you (and everyone else), and yes there are some cracking images that show off the sport.

For me it was a tough choice whether to show the boat or Alex. The other shot that I had to decide on, was the one in this piece in the Guardian...of Alex being hit by the water...It gives you an impression of how wet it was...and why he's gone for a fully enclosed cockpit :0D but in the end, I went for the boat...If I'd have been able to see Alex's face I think the spray shot would have been my entry to the competition.

My shot of Hugo Boss has made the shortlist for the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Photographer 2019.

If you’d like to vote for me, I would be much obliged :0)

When I was onboard her we reached 32.9 knots. She’s quite a boat :D

Some tough competition there Snooks! I think Roman Ian's, Jeannoutot Pierick's, Morel Laurens', and Taccda Fabio's entries are all fab.

However, yours truly captures the heart of modern sailing: powerful opposing forces channeled into perfect equilibrium, with the only giveaway to speed being the spindrift from that leeward foil.

A fab effort and definitely gets my vote :encouragement: ;)
