I've got the Tesco case/stand.
Anything waterproof, us a freezer bag IMO.

We use what at first glance looks like a normal map case of the earnest rambler type but the clear plastic works with a touch screen. Foam backing for a bit of protection, £10 from Mountain Warehouse. We keep the ipad in its normal case inside the map case for extra protection.

Navonics usually displays speed in an icon top left of the screen, but only when you're moving. It disappears when stopped. Lat long, tap theosition cursor and it shows lat long, IIRC.

I've just got the hudl2 and also run navionics on it. I want a waterproof case but need to rig up a power lead to keep the hudl going while it does the navigating.

I forgot to say if you haven't yet found it, to get the lat/longs, you move the screen cross hairs to the location you want the lat/long of and then hit the question mark. The lat/long is displayed at the top of the screen that comes up.
