Hudl 2 questions

1) Will Open CPN work on a hudl2? I've installed it and it seems to crash, frequently.
2) Assuming I can get it to work on a hudl2, how do I find the New Zealand charts I've down loaded? I can see them in the download folder, but when I look at the charts file tab in CPN, I can't see the chart files. When I try to add a chart folder in Open CPN, it's not obvious to me how I find the charts.

I've installed ES file explorer and task manager, but haven't used them seriously as yet.

I'm new to the Android operating system, so please forgive the very basic question.

When I installed Oziexplorer on my Hudl the UK charts had to go on an SD card, using ES file explorer.
IIRC, the reason was lack of space, might be the same with Open CPN.

The android version is: 4.4.2 - Kitkat? I've tried to get version 5.1, but Tesco are rolling it out in waves and my hudl2 is eligable as yet, perhaps it will be in a week or 2.

I'll try the thread you suggest on PBO, I did read it at the time, but probably don't remember the relevant bits.

Out of interest Hudl has now been dropped by Tesco's

Pity because it's actually a good bit of kit!

funny, the hudl 2 is on the tesco direct website - or did you mean the hudl 1? obviously that's been superceded

I always got the impression the Hudl/Hudl 2 was a bit of a loss leader for Tesco.. they were trying to follow the Amazon/Amazon Fire approach and hope for lots of follow on business as a result of packing the tablet with lots of Tesco stuff/apps... looks like the return was not good enough to justify Hudl 3...
