Anyone managed to get a Hudl 2 car charger? Gonna be tricky to run a Nav program without an inverter or a car charger and knowing the history of these devices I don't suppose a 'normal' car charger will do it
I just took the standard charger USB out of the 240V plug and plugged it into my cigarette lighter converter I use for my iphone

I don't know what charger is used by the Hudl. If it is USB then this might be of use:

I installed one last week, next to the cigarette lighter, because I think that a properly wired socket is more reliable. So far I have used it for my Kindle and for my iPhone, two essential companions when I am at anchor. If you have space on a panel for a 30mm hole (I didn't need to use the rectangular bezel) I would suggest that you consider a dedicated socket.
p.s. Don't ask me why they include "cigarette lighter" in the description; I haven't the slightest idea!
It isn't a mini USB plug, it's a micro USB, isn't it? Two different things altogether. The mini USB plug on the hudl is upside down the long side is at the top. On most devices, the long side is away from the screen.
