Was intending to go out to try and catch that elusive first fish....but it never happened...did we miss a good day? Weather here at home looked reasonable...

I was out, really quite pleasant, only was raggies everywhere, I guess its their week though...
Why is that they feel the need, to sail up the busiest, most congested river on the Solent, on the wrong side of the fairway, totally inconsiderate to others.....

Was OK this morning in the Solent, bit choppy outside to the SW of the IOW, but mostly sunny. Wind from the SW, not NW as forecast, and a good F4. Fair bit windier this afternoon after we came in. You couldn't have failed to catch your first fish though, we had 6 on the line in one go.

We came up from Yarmouth to Chi at bout lunch time. There were reports of 750 raggies out. It was a great sight to be fair and some lovely boats too.
I came past Cowes at about 25 and a bit knots and jiggered my way through the racing fleets. First and only time I had no shaking fists! But I did make an effort to go behind or to leward of them all.
Really nice run with covers off and in mostly sunshine.
