At least I think she is, but I'm open to comments...!

Having spent a small fortune overhauling Aquarius and after many years of happy use I have to sell her. The long drive to the SofF, 2 little kids and a bit of seasickness just don't mix and we are not using her enough. Last time we were out, beautiful day, a trip down the coast towards the Cap D'Antibes, anchor up, nice lunch and then "Dad, can we go to the playground now ???" while the littl'un was emptying her stomach over my feet....

Anyway my bad fortune is someones good fortune and I gave her to a local friend (the guy who washes and looks after her when I'm not there) who also works with a broker and has agreed to show her to interested parties. He was sceptical about selling a UK flagged vessel to his mainly French clientele.

My question - how can I advertise her in the UK to help direct potential buyers to the broker (who has agreed on a reduced fee if I send someone to him) ? What are the best web sites, magazines to use ? Someone mentioned also using EBay to give exposure. Any comments? And finally is the price I've put on her reasonable ??

Many Thanks

Seems very good value for a very nice floating pad inthe med. But an italian boat in france will be attractive to..certainly not just brits?

At the price you seek you could tell a broker that's what you want - their fee is extra. It would save hassle in organising visits and so on.

The mandelieu-la napoule "boat show" is on early the season - your boat is a perfect candidate.

Anyone heading off to the SofF to buy a boat will, in all probability, be looking at several on the same trip. Give yours an edge and say you'll refund the flight to the person who buys her.

MMMmmmm......Maybe I'm biased, but anyone who looks at Aquarius and the price will buy her, flight or no flight reimbursed ! Anyway, I have reduced her in price to a fixed £20.000 rather than a €35.000 ono, so lots of flights can by bought with the saving !!!

Thanks for your comment.

Try "boots borse" its free to advertise but Germans are an absolute pain i had severl come to look at the last two boats i sold. The last my Hillyard i got a call from the German who was comeing to look my boat was in StTropez and he called me from St Raphael station becouse he had missed the bus and dident want to wait half an hour for the next!!!

It can take up to 3 hours in traffic to get there!!When he arrived he wanted "hot food" a few days later just before i was about to tell him to get lost he bought!!

There are lots of Italian boat mags and Italians are all very rich they have so much money they almost dont know what to spend it on and they love wooden boats! And look after them.Every June and Italian that owns a really well kept wooden sloop sails with crew to Elba spends a week in Rio Marina then gets his crew (paid proffessional) to retern the owner cant sail or moore it!!!Its always quite funny unless he aiming to moore beside me!!! Then its fenders and desparatly get him to slow down before he hits me

Every year its there with no damage and imaculate just go along to St Tropez there are wooden boats owned by Italians that are in such perfect condition they could be new! They spend fortunes maintaining their old wooden craft!!They make me feel and look very run down!!

Ive seen the problem!! The link IS http://www.svgverlag.de/index.php?id=2

But its rubbish!!!Ill have to find a copy of Boots borse in a "press" shop (tabbacco shop???) Last time i used it i called their phone number and gave my free ad. Now it seems if you look online almost everything costs in a stupid way

Must appeal to the Germans though!! I did look during 2006 about a year ago then they had SOME pay to get the pone number ads now its most!!I just wanted to see what my boat might be worth.

Today i found folkboats but no prices without pay. I have their phone number but not hear, its in a file i leave safe and dry. And they dont list it online!!!Perhaps you just have to go along to your press shop in Antibes they have a copy then either buy it or just copy the ads hotline phone number.

Im thinking of downsizing as well to go on to the canals??
