The shaft in the photos looks a bit rough. The PSS rotor relies on 2 static O-rings to seal to the shaft. Suggest you smooth the shaft with emery cloth to ensure the O-rings aren't damaged when the rotor is slid down the shaft. Also use lubricant of course.

Well done getting the coupling off and thanks for reporting back on progress - this sort of report is so useful for the rest of us tackling similar problems. The biggest problem I had with a similar job was that the access to the coupling was extremely awkward. It was a split coupling though and I was able to use the longer bolts and spacer trick to push the shaft out. Since it was a few years ago and I am now less flexible I really don't know if I could do it today though!
Good luck getting the job finished.

Re 3 leg puller for prop
If you haven't done the job yet, put a nut on the prop shaft just proud of the end before you attach the puller.
It stops the puller slipping off the center of the shaft and buggering the shaft thread - don't ask how I know! :(

Prop pulling tip I learned on this forum is to wind up the 3 leg Puller assembly reasonably tight by hand pressure on the appropriate spanner / Ratchet then tap the wound up bolt with a hammer, and bang off comes the propeller.
