Both a bit leaky round the stern gland, but she sails like a dream!

The short answer is no. When considering the vast number of unwanted, undisposable boats the answer might be "Too long"Does anyone know how long GRP lasts? Appreciate it's a bit of a case-by-case question.
After one million stress cycles the strength of GRP is reduced by half (D. Gerr, Boat Strength). This is happily countered by the ridiculously over-built hulls on many of the older designs. Ours, as I found out when I put in a new transducer, is 0.75" thick.Does anyone know how long GRP lasts? Appreciate it's a bit of a case-by-case question.
Your calculation seems grave -ly in errorApparently, I'm 182. Can i get my pension back-dated, please?
The first GRP glider was the Bolköw Phoenix, in the late fifties, and to the best of my knowledge they still have certificates of airworthiness. They are built like tanks - much, much heavier than modern gliders - but being aircraft they get very detailed inspections at yearly intervals or less, so any issues would almost certainly have shown up.Does anyone know how long GRP lasts?
