If you were looking for a modest project with those qualities there is nothing wrong with the advertisement, it's not aimed at AWB or Rassey buyers!

If he can't be bothered to take the cover off for the photos, is he going to be bothered to show up when you call? Not a serious seller methinks.

Totally agree.

I agree.

When selling a yacht, or anything, you want to show it off to it's best advantage to encourage viewings etc. Seems odd that it appears to be a Broker selling the yacht. You would have thought the Broker would have asked for the covers to be removed to show it to it's best advantage. After all no sale means no commission and taking the covers off would be but a few minutes work.

For christs sake it will sell for £2.5 to £3K broker will make £200 what does he have to do go out and polish it! He's allready put it on a web site. what would you do for a couple of hundred quid? It's probably there on the basis of if it sells it sells someone MIGHT want to buy it.

Exactly the point - nothing. What on earth was the broker thinking of when he took it on? He's wasting his client's time, he should have told him (as tactfully as possible) to go away and either make it attractive to buyers or put a match to it. All he has done is to get himself some bad publicity.

Ridiculous. You can get a Folkboat/ relation for £5K, in commission, ready to go.
He even tells us there isn't an engine, and describes the engine there isn't

Vessel has a Farryman 7hp diesel engine which has been removed from the boat and requires rebuild or replacement.

Some of us would do quite a lot for that amount !!!! In some cases it means more than 3 days work (graft !!).
So no I don't think the broker has done enough (even if he advised his client to do better pictures it would have been something),there are to many in this country who are prepared to do F-all for mega money

The question of what would you do for 200 quid should have the answer , a hard days work, (200 quid is still a good days wage or am I undervaluing my labours) not sod all but this is maybe a sign of the times that people would rather do nothing and earn nothing than make some effort and get rewarded!

In a competitive market anything that catches the eye is an advantage, both unmotivated seller and unmotivated agent are at fault but they will get full return on their efforts and work ethic.

I would like to do a days work for £200 quid (even at my age you would get good value !! or as Lakesailor might say " at that price I would give you a blow job as well")

I don't know how that rumour got around. I don't turn up for less than £70, so £200 would not persuade me to play anyone's magic flute, thank you.
Now if it were a case of clearing madam's tubes...............

Well done Sherlock. Point is, the owner cant be ar$$ed, broker can, he ads it for free, trousers a few quid, hardly as controversial as, say, the Pope selling it.......

Someone will buy it. Coz its, well, advertised.

Wont be me though!!
