I need to change the Bellows on my Volvo Penta DPH sterndrive (with a D4 engine) and have asked for a couple of quotes to do the work.

Can anyone advise what sort of figure I’d be looking for that work? It would be to remove the leg, supply and fit the 2 bellows and the 1 water hose. The boat is currently sitting on the hard so no lift out charges needed.

And can anyone advise the no. of hours labour it would normally take for the job?

FYI - I’m located in Scotland (west coast).

Well I just got a quote for a full service at £2k or £1.6k for the bellow change alone!

Does anyone know the nearest country to here that buys kidneys? ?
I thought prices would cheaper the further north you go . £1600 for 2 drives is a crazy figure .
where is your boat ?
This is less than 8 hours work .
oil change
Anode change
Tilt pin bushes
Various split pins
Water hose clip change
Exhaust bellow clip change
General clean up of barnacles etc .
Check trim and steering hoses
Grease all pins
Remove props , clean shafts apply new grease .

Golden Arrow, but I've not shopped around and RK have gone..
If you want dealer service then there is no where ales to go unless you use company in Lymington as they are the next dealers to the Central solent .
So for that price do you have to have the engines serviced as well ?

No the engines are another 1k or so. But I have to use main agent whilst it's under warranty
Actually you don’t in What was European directive . Any company as long as they are competent and vat registered using genuine parts and adhering to the correct schedule can carry out service work with factory warranty still covering the product .
You are correct RK marine are no longer VP approved dealer .
