Probably sailing across the channel in a couple of weeks. I just wondered if it was worth waiting to fill up the tank in Guernsey of whether to take the hit here...

ANy views?

cheers,

In that case I will wait until we go in August and take full advantage, filled up at Gosport just after Christmas and my £33 fill was a full 50% up on last years fuel prices. Its daylight robbery /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Boatworks + about 56p from a Fuel Supplies tanker at St Sampsons about 40p but there may be minimum quantity for the latter.

£44 for 80 litres in G last week at Boatworks, slightly more expensive in J - used the newish refuller in outside marina, got alongside 1 hr after LW. Was nominally shut and attendant dozing in the sun as he normally does not open till the marina cill drops but opened for us. He was interested in what I paid in G as they wanted to be competive with G.

Filled up at Boatworks Guernsey 2 wks ag 55p per litre - very pleased as 82p in Hamble (had just filled up before we left!) then adjacent boat claimed to have just filled up prior to departing UK at 50p per litre on the Tamar?

Think it may have been a wind up about Solent prices!
