Outboard 7-8k.

But the biggest saving is the running costs. No winterisation, no bellows, no gimble bearings etc. Outboards can be serviced for less than £200, and you can do it yourself quite easily if you feel like it.

I flush my DF 90 after every use. I bought the screw in flushing attachment which connects to a hose, and whilst I am demanking the boat, the engine is being completely purged of salt water.

Right, i have the quote here and it reads as:

Jeanneau Merry Fisher: £13,688.00

Suzuki 115hp 4 stroke O/B £6,047.00
(complete with trim quage,
rev counter, installation,
Battery and cables)

Indespension Roller coaster 7 £1,850.00
Trailer.

etc,,,,,,,,,,,,

I would say by that the engine is probably cheaper than it should be as you are buying a package boat, if buying on its on it may well be slightly dearer.

I presume including VAT? Either way that sounds (to me) very good.

I am mulling over buying something with an O/B and one of the things I had wondered about was the replacemnt costs of a big engine (should I buy a nightmare!) - as the folk seem to keep the actual sale prices a bit of secret - I guess a lot of deals to be had once yer start talking.......

It will be open when I start the flush as the engine will have just stopped and hot after a few hours of fun, but to be sure I can run it whilst flushing.

Anyway, it says to do it in the manual.

Be careful on my 4s Yamaha you simply plug in a hoselock connection and FW flush - you must not run the engine or damage to the impellor may result.

I will check up on that, as I don't really trust anything my dealer says now.

I only ran it the once as the engine was cold. Usually I just flush the hot engine.

Without risking taking a plunge, I can't get the muffs on.
