how much cable!!!

I'll be getting a good price... I work for one of the worlds largest electrical distributors!

In that case, and assuming you know better than us - can you link to cables suitable for each role? Don't mind if you're advertising your own brand but Swindlers are starting to annoy me with their cable assortment - they never seem to have the tinned stuff everyone recommends, or the good VHF cable, or even 3 core most of the time!
Ask him in person at Maplins next time your in Ipswich, Neil's one of the greeters as you walk through the door ;).

Here's the tinned stuff....

Just use the filters towards the bottom of the page to select different guages or colours....

Its a 300V rating cable, but I don't know what the 19A is measured at, but I still wouldn't exceed the rated amperage at 12V..... there are versions from 12awg to 22awg for different loads... and yes, that's a 30m reel.... if you've got an area that is a bit less protected, you might get away with an automotive wire instead, (which isn't tinned but has a well attached and heatproof outer) as long as you use a heatshrink to seal the ends carefully (there is a heatshrink with a glue inside it if you really want to belt and brace), and that's a lot cheaper, and available down to 4awg, which is good for over 200Amps
