Hi all
I would really appreciate the view of this forum as to how long a boaty tale should be. I have posted some in years past and they have been, dare I say, well received, but....
Many posted by others are more to the point about the actual voyage, terse and factual, with short comments about each photo. Let me say now that this is most interesting, and they seem to be viewed and read by many, judging by the number of ‘hits’ recorded.
There are also the host of techie questions and answers, which are dealt with by the many experts on here.
but (cont)....in my case I do like to tell as full as possible a story and I have a tale to tell of my latest little venture on the briny. However this does include some perhaps fanciful thinking on my part, though it is germaine (sp) to the tale. In this case there are several photos of blue skies and smooth seas to delight the eyes, a thing almost unheard of here in the seas off the Isle of Man, plus some location shots of our beautiful isle.
So which is it to be? Should I just write the bare bones of it which would be over and done with by many of you busy readers, or would you like to settle back with perhaps that glass to hand and be amused, regaled, even fascinated by it,
The Lounge is another place, but that is for non boaty stories.
Your comments should make interesting reading, for which many thanks in advance.
