I have a twin, and use it most of the time on one engine, as it's quieter and more economical.
No problemo...
Shaft drive and outdrive are 2completely different beasts

Don't do that. You can't advise others to attempt to cheat the system and then moan about people not paying their dues.
When you get the first lock , hopefully they will issue you with an unregistered report which will give you some time to get your licence applied for , and won't cost you any money at the time.
If you have a BSS as you say , there's no problem with applying for a licence is there ? You could apply before you leave on your journey , and the resulting unregistered will be cancelled out
Don't lie to the lock staff , they have long memories.
What is the EA mantra these days, same as the pirates...take everything, give nothing back
Happy St George's day everyone![]()
Have no intention of cheating the system, boat will be long-term at Penton Hook and I believe my brother (it's actually his boat) has already applied for the license.

It does have twin enfield outdrives- quote 'no steerage at the best of times' is slightly worrying...
May I enquire as to which twin engined outdrive boat you honed your ninja skills on?

Nowhere in my post did I say 'I' had them...LOL
Yeah, had outdrives too. I clearly stated 'Ninja skills on the throttle will be needed' however...
Probably the Discovery .......Yes you did, was it the Polish thing, the Birchwood, Broom or Scand that had outdrives ?

I think the Polish thing had an outdrive, and the Birchwood probably did, so that's two outdrives, but not twins, the Broom had two engines but not twins, the Scan I believe is Twins but probably shafts, that seems quite clear![]()
I like the 'Testing the bow thruster' piccy! LOL![]()
Hadn't noticed thatapparently 'jet powered' bow thrusters are the latest thing....
