How long do I remain boatless ?

I end up buying the next boat before the current one sells. not intentionally, I just end up with 2 boats ?
Yep, me too, currently the owner of 2 boats.

Mind you Bigplumbs holds the record for number of boats owned at one time by a private individual.

well maybe but a lot of them are quite small. I just bought a Motor home so I can tow the smaller ones about the U.K. and boat in different locations. Having no children We tend to buy ‘Stuff’. No one to leave your money to you see

For those of you curious, I believe this is Bigplumbs new motorhome setup, looks impressive.... :giggle:

I suppose one key question is why did you sell up...?
Got fed up without being able to just rock up somewhere due to the volume of hooray's now owning boats, and everywhere requiring pre-booking. Not my sort of boating.

If a Searanger 448 comes up for the right money I'll be back (same designer as the Corvette). Or a (cheap) Nordhavn !

You have to book anchorages down 'Sarf?! This is what happens when the law of piracy is forgotten. And here I thought all the wastrels did was ghetto hop from one boat park to the next. Next boat come to Conwy. I'll introduce you to Roy. No pre-booking required.

HELLO long lost son here .

I sold my other boat yesterday, so I'm now back down to one boat (OK, 2 if you include the kayak) - very sensible

I sold my boat in November 20. I actually have not missed it much especially as it was not a great summer. Bought a motor home and spend most of my time in it by the sea ?. My bank balance has enjoyed me not having a boat, and the longer I don't have a boat, the more my wallet likes it ?

I take mine to W Coast Scotland amazing scenery.

Nooo. Before I found boating I've had motorhomes. Did a year in the Lake districts , Scotland and outer Hebrides with twin girls as companions when I was still back packing around Europe in my 20's. It was awful. Never received so much abuse in my life. Besides, they dont float!
