This I bet has happened to many on here.

But how do you approach a forum member, if you see them out on the water or in a harbourer?

On the water.

1/ Do you pace them if you can,

2/ circle them,

3 /Wave like mad

4 / Yell "are you such and such?"

5/ Or have a heated debate as to is it who you think it is????

In a Marina

1/ walk back and forth by the boat , trying to remember if it is a name you recognise

2/ Walk by trying not to look as if you are looking, and see if you recognise the people on board

3/ Walk past chatting in a loud voice " Did you see that post yesterday about....."

4/March up to boat and say are you a forum member and hope like made that you have it right and they do not think you are a total loony.

I am sure that I have seen forum members out and about but am never sure , unless I have spoken to them before.

Do we need a code word or to whistle a certain tune, or something.
Or does every one like the guessing game????

Ah, I thought I saw Moose in his Phantom37 at Torquay last year. I couldn't remember the name of his boat. I was in a quandary, is it him, is it not?

I got my daughter to run up and down the pontoon doing impressions of a moose and grunting moose like noises.

After 3 days we decided it wasn't Moose!

I fly my forum burgee hanging loose, so only the bottom is attached. Every forumite who sees it, comes up and tells me it's loose! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Always find that making a great fuss when scaling the marina razorwire and then wandering over and filching a fender or two before revealing the bottle of meths under my old army great coat had the best chance of revealing any suspected forumite.
Thats how I spotted B1 and Suncoast anyway.

Stupid place to leave an island anyway......

I fly in on hanglider in the middle of the night wearing all black. Land on the roof of the boat. Hold grab rails and swing down onto deck. Stop for a moment and take in the situation. Sneak along the deck, ducking under windows. Crew member jumps out on me and I floor him with several well aimed chops to the neck and body. I let myself into the cabin and sneak over to the bed where she is sleeping and I put a box of chocolates on the bed with a little card sticking out with "and all because the lady loves forum members" written on it.

Just hope I don't bump into too many forum members cos me backs killing me.

Is it the weekend yet?
