A) Brindisi

B) Nice/Cannes

C) navigate french canals no option?

D) Sell it in Greece, Italy or southern France also no option?

On Google many transportation companies, if You check also on the magazines You will quickly find the more established.

Important issue is overall width of boat: in my understanding within 3,20 meters is an "exceptional transport" but it does not require an "escort", that is a car before and after.

Cheers,
Gianenrico

If you look at my post on This Thread Gilbert Brown is mentioned. I saw mention of them on another forum (which I have quoted) that mentions they go to Greece a lot. You'd make a nice return load. They often carry 30-odd foot AWBs past our house. A very popular size on the lake.

http://augizeau.online.fr/ This site is in English and French - Probably the largest boat transporters in France/Europe They could deliver to a French channel port and you collect it there and sail it over to UK saving substantial ferry costs

Who would be worth getting a quote from - They are possibly the biggest UK specialist hauliers in boats

Talk to SunSail - they sometimes ship boats back to UK -

I looked into this for my Sadler 32 which is in Turkey. Road transport was going to be difficult because of the size of the load and ridiculously expensive. Far cheaper to hire a delivery crew and do it the traditional way. £3.5 K is roughly the figure, if memory serves. Trucking was going to be three times that.

I agree truckings a real rip off!Cant cost what they charge to transport boats.

I have a Folkboat which is just 2.20 wide and a trucker delivering boats to the med quoted me 3000 euros from toulon to Lyon to pass the Rhone only!!Otherwise he will go back empty! He said that if the boat was wider he would have some extra charges??

Surly there must be a way to transport at a reasonable price? Im going to post as Later about shipping

Good luck!
