Yes I know, I can light the cooker with a gas lighter.
However the Force 10 has a built in igniter than worked nicely and I would like to make it work again. I have previously taken the little contact switches apart.
Now there is no spark when any switch is pressed and I have replaced the battery too!
I have now removed the igniter. I wonder how to test it to see if it is the problem. It has a +ive and a -ive pole then single wires going to each switch.
Any suggestions on how to test the igniter?
Thanks

Suspect that you may also have a capacitor in the circuit somewhere, possibly within the igniter, sorry not familiar with it. There should be a diagram in the manual. Or google Force 10 cooker manual. Further to my last. Can you disconnect the wires from each switch in turn and just touch them together see if you get a spark. I think there may only be one wire with "earth" as the other path. If so just touch the wire to earth. If you don't get a spark from any them it is more likely to be the battery or the igniter unit. Without seeing the unit difficult to be more precise

Is the battery in the correct way round? If so, the electronic ignition box is likely to have failed. There's details on the Force 10 site of how to replace it.
