Just wondered if anyone else had purchased Houdini hatches -(Super 50 model) around May 2009 and has now found that the edges of the opening part of the hatch are badly corroding. If so please PM me
The ones we removed fron the boat in 2009 were leaking but there was no corrosion on them and they were over 20 years old, but could not be re sealed economically.
Houdini after seeing detailed photos of the corrosion said that at 2.5 yeear old a hatch should not corrode as badly as they had and said they would replace them, if we returned the corroded ones so they could investigate the fault. Unfortunately they have now twice supplied us with damaged replacements, and will not do anything else as they say the replacements are within their manufacturing tolerance. This includes damages anodising and a bar that is so bent so it touchs the glass!
