Hot Antifoul!

Has anyone actually tried mixing chilli powder in with their Antifoul paint? I know its commonly talked about in a few circles, indeed may even have been discussed here before....but does it work in colder UK waters?

Would certainly be cheaper than copperbot..etc..

Any views?
