Canoed up to this pub from Swanick the other day. I Imagine most Hamble people are familiar with it but anyone visiting it's well worth a trip up there in the dinghy. The pub is on a main road but it's wonderful to visit from the water.
The service wasn't great, they didn't really have enough staff on for a sunny day, but the food was good (and plenty of other things on the menu I'd like to go back for) and the location was pretty hard to beat all things considered.
