Honda 2.3 short shaft

Bought one this Summer. Still using the same fittings. I pre ordered replacement stainless Steel fixing and replaced the original mild steel fittings before use.

Mine's a 2014, used heavily ever since and gets annointed with WD40 at the close of season each year. Not a sign of a problem with any fitting or fixing.

Definitely not. Had one of them, and a Suzuki 2.2 2 stroke. Honda far superior for my money for two reasons: lovely centrifugal clutch and air cooled. There’s a reason you see these little Honda outboards everywhere nowadays.

It’s a bit like when you first switch from a Windows poota to a Mac- you suddenly realise you’ve been doing it wrong for years.

I bought one this year too to replace one that was beyond repair. What did you replace? Where were the fixings sourced from?
Cheers

It replaced a 15 year old Honda 2.3hp which was still running well.
As already mentioned pm steve66 for the bolts. He is very helpful and knowledgeable.

I also fitted an hour meter, one of these..

Very easy to fit. Just wrap the wire around the spark plug lead. I used double sided tape to secure it so it is visible through the grill at the back.

Thanks all.....Slipstream very interested in your hour meter, Thanks for your kind words.
I do have stainless fasteners on eBay. I cannot post on here as I had a severe telling off for "promoting " my items last time but if you search for them on eBay you should find them...seller name evansmarineservice
Alternatively pm me on here.
Cheers
