I want to passage plan at home on my macbook. Don't need anything fancy just a decent home planning software bundle suitable for a macbook pro. Any ideas?
Thanks
Lisa

What chart plotter and cartography do you use on the boat Lisa ?

Hi Paul. We have a Raymarine (embarrassed to say not sure which series :o) but I think it's E series using navionics gold. Navionics do a pack for Windows etc but not Mac and I'm no computer buff so just want something easy to load and use.

Did you read this thread? Where I did a write up on OpenCPN
http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=266500

It was actually using the PC but I believe the other versions have exactly the same functuonality

OpenCPN is definately an option.

Thanks H. Didn't see the thread but was given a link to the site by TSB earlier. Tried the download but just got a black screen with blue outlines before realising I needed to download the charts and thats where it all became a bit of a polava tbh. (probably me just being dim tho).

The Raytech planner is disappointingly only available for Windows XP/2000, which is pretty poor.

Garmins Homeport is available for the Mac, but you'd need a chart to use it.

Thanks all. Will look at the garmin and the mem map. Neptune are bringing one out for mac but they don't know release date yet and I'm too impatient to wait!
