The problem I foresee is information overload as owner explains how the radar works ,how to work the septic tank and erect the sprayhood and how to start the outboard…..and what do I do if it all stops working?

I would certainly ask for a small training time and notes,así twill be aggravated by my grasp of Galician and or Castilian?"owner explains" ?
If I were selling it I would just grab the money and run . .
Galicia was a whale catching and processing area especially the ría de Vigo where the slipway and whaling station still remains……maybe why it’s so popular with Orcas?……..poignardcan send his c.vWill you be taking on a harpooner for the orcas? I hear Poignard is looking for a berth, reliable but grumpy sort.
Being a non technical person more leaning towards the arts and a low retention capability at least some pointers wouldn’t come amiss .I went to view one boat a few months ago and there where so many gadgets and owner mods that I actually told the owner that it was his boat,he had modified it totally to himself…….the boat is still for sale six months later. We’ve never had an owner handover of any kind on buying a boat. Just choose one and learn about it gently, at your own pace.

Thanks, will keep you in mind?I doubt you will learn much from a morning sail or sitting in the cockpit. Go over the boat make a few notes about where things are and what they do and make sure the manuals are present for all the electronics. Other than that it's a conventional boat with sails.
If you are still looking after this one then this one should be OK for you and if you need someone to show you how to sail it I am available.

Have you thought of how much of this stuff you actually need to enjoy your sailing?Being a non technical person more leaning towards the arts and a low retention capability at least some pointers wouldn’t come amiss .I went to view one boat a few months ago and there where so many gadgets and owner mods that I actually told the owner that it was his boat,he had modified it totally to himself…….the boat is still for sale six months later.
Here in the rias……motor upwind and sail home under genoaI don't know it either but it looks like a slightly larger UFO 25 but with more freeboard. I'm sure it will be great upwind but maybe less so with gentlemen sailing.

The best boat I owned had no electrics no motor, sails and a sculling oar(after the seagull died)
In the summer there are light winds in the rias and people motor out from Vigo to the islands for lunch.Gradually as the day wears on a nice northern breeze fills in perfect for going home…under Genoa. Sring and Autumn are the best days ,of course there is racing but many are keen on getting to an anchour age whilst thereis roomSurely there is room to tack?
That was my thoughts exactly.I don't know it either but it looks like a slightly larger UFO 25 but with more freeboard. I'm sure it will be great upwind but maybe less so with gentlemen sailing.

Hustler 25.5 — Sailboat Guide
The similarities are remarkable. Never sailed one, but raced against several in the 1970's. I would not be surprised if the Oyster 26 and Hustler 25.5 were the same hulls. I know that Richard Matthews owned a Hustler 25.5, as we raced against him, and he later started Oyster Yachts. Holman and Pye, Hustler Boats and Richard Matthews, all were in West Mersea, Essex.
This old thread might give you an idea as to how the Puma 26 will sail, especially post #5.
why buy a oyster26 over hustler 25.5
We sailed for years with a log, compass and echo sounder. Our boat nowadays is rammed with networked electronics. They’re a hobby, but their only real purpose is to give Chiara’s owner something to worry about. She likes to compare true wind with the reefing chart.Have you thought of how much of this stuff you actually need to enjoy your sailing?
