Does anyone have any experience of these? The website states ' the longer the engine has been operational the better the bearing surfaces adjust to each other'. Mine leaks & requires a grease barrier to prevent leaking at rest; therefore I may need to replace it - hence my question.

I've got a hollex (on a Trintella 51). I've never had more than the occasional drop of water through it! Over the winter I put an empty ice cream carton under it just in case (I like to keep salt water out of the bilges as we're aluminium), and the carton was bone dry a month ago, although there were a couple of dried salt rings - so I suppose a drop or two had got in and been dealt with by the dehumidifier.

It's possible that you may need to replace the bearing surfaces (which I recall is easy enough to do).

These are the French people I dealt with

http://www.alphaver.com/hollex.html is the hollex page within the frameset.

We actually obtained the spares through Trintellas (excellent) owner support team. Shame they're in financial difficulties again.
