If you could select 3 members of the House of Commons who would you pick and why.

I'd have Kenneth Clark, Tam Dalyell and Anne Widdecombe

Ken cos he likes a pint
Tam cos he talks sense
and Anne as collision avoidance

Any Tory - they have experience of sinking ships.
Any New (so called) Labour - If the ship was sinking ,they'd spin it so that I felt good about it.
Any Lib Dem - Somehow they've stayed afloat for years despite always appearing to sink.

Then scupper it!

Re: HoC crew - posthumous choice

None of the current mob, not one of them impresses me I'm afraid.

George Canning - Former PM - am a descendent so keep it in the family - *5 great grandad.
Winston Churchill - can tell which way the wind is blowing with his cigar.
Lloyd George - from N.Wales - so might be useful for a bit of translation & navigating.
