That answers my question then, takes less time than swinging the bridge, actually less time than making the phone call to book it

There are a couple of boats next to me in the marina here (Centaur and a Hunter) that used to sail on the broads and the owners have told me how they used to drop the masts when they came to a bridge and raise it again the other side, without stopping !

Congrats from Snowbird to Bob on his award, probably the most helpful HM I have come across and very friendly with it.
