um, well, the little book would only show where you are, and i imagain when you were on the boat. However, if you spent all last summer midchannel or perhaps Ushant, then yes please .

Sorry, we can give you Weymouth and Brixham/Dartmouth - sunny but windy and sunny/sunny. A mate was in Ushant at the same time on a sailyboat thing: windy.

Re: oh flippinek

well, see, wiggo just reported on the weather as "a bit shit" last year, whereas i wd like to have some data to suport that. Fortunately, he apparently wrote the details in his little book (eg sea conditions: wet) and also the weather (windy and sunny) so we have a start, albeit rather a rubbishy start to the process of analysing the statistical data.

I will try the first of your recomendations (seeing that chimet is busted) and then on to brendanS's suggestion of trying google which has so far revealed that the weather during the invasion of the spanish armada was apparently quite windy too. This internet is incredibly useful - who needs a time machine eh?

If I could travel back in time

I would go back to 1998 and find the dumb a*se yanks that built the good ship Ballena to find out who wired the cooker wrong, didn't connect the crimp tag to the main instrument earth properly, wired the GPS incorrectly, didn't pressure test the fuel system properly...... should I go on?

Glad to see that Four Winns appear to have implemented some quality control now.
