Dear All,

Now Nicholas has got his new toy for the boat (Chart Plotter and all that goes with it) I think it is time that the girls and I got want we really want on the boat - Television.

What do we need, we would like to be able to have all the free to view digital channels and we have no wiring or aerial on the boat at present.

It would be great to get everything we need so that when Nick gets his stuff installed I can get the telly done at the same time.

Thank you.

Joanne ( and Emily & Lizzie)

Hi Joanne

Last time I was in Currys they had a nice LCD TV for less than £400 which would be good for the boat.

If Nick plays up just tell him that you could buy 50 of them for the price he was prepared to pay to get rid of his dripping coolant :-)

Martyn

PS Don't tell him I told you about the TV, I'm supposed to support the other side - you know...."Chatplotter - yes lets have two" ......."Boaty Gadget - better get one".....etc, etc

You should get a nice flatscreen TV, 22 inch is probly good size. To sell this idea to Nick tellim he can connect the plotter to it and you get massive chart plotter view (I cant rem wot plotter he got - did he get nav software on a laptop? If he did then it's easy to connect that to the TV).

As regards aerial normally one of those glomax things on the flybridge works perfectly well

He got a Garmin 182c and if he hasn't already he was getting laptop software so he can plot routes at home then download to plotter.

Easy peasy and cheap, for a smaller boat 15" flat screen, løarger 17 or 20" flat screen, very smallø TV unit, antenna on flybridge hoop or whatever. Fairs fair!! You girls need something aswell, maybe a valentines surprise, you may have to buy it though!
