Hirrondelle 23 ft cat info needed

Hi.
Yes I've looked at sailboat data and other info but they only give the normal data ie external dims
So I'm hoping an owner maybe able to let me know.
Fingers crossed.
Thank you for helping so far anyway

Sail data have a scale drawing, so why not measure the distance between hulls & use that?
It doesn't need to be accurate to a few mm.

Be very aware that lifting between the hulls on the " flat bit" is very dangerous and liable to topple, especially if the ground/slip is uneven.
Make sure the yard is insured for any eventuality.

Why-- don't ask!!

Many cats I've seen use a "grown up" version of two beach cat trollies, so a single axle, cups moulded from the hulls, a wheel inside and outside each hull, 2 of, one forward one aft... My mate's 42 footer uses those...

Don’t worry about using tractor and hydraulic trailer, in Portimao most cats are moved this way. Some of the smaller ones HT, Catalac , etc are to narrow and use the hoist.

Yes there is a hirondelle family its called.
It's 12 ft wide rather than 10
I'm trying to find one but the only one I've seen has the aero rig on it.

Apologies for the thread drift, but did the aero rig put you off, then?

I'm fairly sure there was a PBO test or review that included the aero-rigged Hirondelle Family. Sounded interesting enough to be the boat of my dreams (one of a long series!) for a while.

Me too, took me 10 years to get my hands on one and eventually found it 10 miles away - serendipity :-). Fabulous boat. Unfortunately only 4 or 5 ever made (no one seems sure) and the only other one I am aware of also has the Aerorig. Only seen sloop rig on the one in the above mentioned magazine comparison where the Aerorig was between 1-2 knots faster in 8 kts of wind. Maybe they converted it after the test :biggrin-new:

So, in answer to original question, I can't help because mine is 2ft wider beam, but if you are on Facebook, there is an Hirondelle Owners group and I am sure someone there will be able to help you.

Edit - Not sure if an option in your yard, but mine is lifted using a regular hydraulic trailer with slings.
