Found napoleonic sword on beach-tick.... no seriously, went for a beachcombing walk on the foreshore at Hardway where I used to live and found a barnacle encrusted sword blade in a scabbard. Probably a naval boarding sword from c.1800, along with some clay pipe bits and some very old glass. But more coincidently from right outside my old house, a bit of pottery from Norwich where I now live.

(Local museum politely turned down my treasure trove)
