erm .. yes. It had already been despatched by the time I tried to change it. Presume the difference is just the extension lead and I could soon cobble together an output/ sound card input lead?

you need to take off the lid and remove the modem card - on the + wire that fed the card solder a 10k and small 0.1 mf capacitor to decouple any DC and then plug that output to your PC sound card..I only know 'cause I did it with mine..
